The Sitecore Desktop is similar to the standard Microsoft Windows XP desktop in many ways, only located in a web browser. Applications in Sitecore are opened in their own windows and can be managed - resized and placed anywhere on the desktop - just like Microsoft Windows applications.

The screenshot below shows the Desktop interface with two Sitecore applications opened in their own windows: 

Moving  

To move the application window, click inside the title bar and drag the window.

Resizing  

To resize the application window, point to the window border you want to change. When the pointer becomes a double-headed arrow, drag the border.

Minimizing  

   Select to minimize the application window. The window will be visible as an icon on the Sitecore taskbar at the bottom of the Sitecore Desktop interface.

Maximizing

   Select to expand the application window to full screen.

Closing

   Select to close the window. The application will also be closed.
